What is Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party?
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is an evening party in Magic Kingdom where you can dress up in costumes and go trick or treating.
You also get the opportunity to meet many characters, with lots of your favourites such as Minnie and Mickey etc being dressed in their Halloween attire but you also get the very rare chance to meet characters that are only usually available to meet and greet exclusively at the party, such as Jack Skellington and Sally, the Seven Dwarves and Moana.
There are also very special shows and parades that are exclusive to the party, such as the Boo-To-You Parade and guests at the party get to view the amazing Hallo-Wishes, the epic firework display that is only shown during MNSSHP.
Do you need a separate ticket from your Disney ticket to enter MNSSHP?
Yes you do. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a separate ticketed event.
Magic Kingdom is open as usual during the day, but it will close early for those guests that are not attending the Halloween Party.
What time should you arrive?
If you have a Disney ticket for Magic Kingdom that day and have been enjoying the theme park during regular hours and you are in the park already, then you are able to stay in the park once it officially closes for non-party attending guests. The park begins to close for non-party ticket holders at 6pm, and the party officially starts at 7pm.
If you don’t have the general admission tickets, and only have tickets for the MNSSHP event, you can enter the park from 4pm onwards.
Are the rides still open to use during MNSSHP?
Yes, the majority of rides are still open, but there are no FastPasses in operation during the party. However, the wait lines during the party are much shorted than during your average day, so therefore eliminating the need for Fast Passes anyway.
Is this a family event?
100%. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a fun filled event suitable for all the family - from the smallest baby to the grandparents or even great grandparents out there!
Are costumes allowed?
Costumes are not only allowed, but they are actively encouraged! Most of the party guests will make a real effort with their costumes, it is all part of the fun. However, there are certain rules to adhere too when planning your costumes, please check direct with Disney here to make sure your costume is suitable.
What dates in 2020 are MNSSHP being held?
2020 dates apparantly start earlier than ever this year! The Party dates are not officially released yet, but are rumoured to begin as early as the 14th of August.
