What is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
Have you ever wanted to stand on Main Street, USA in Magic Kingdom with the snow falling all around you, surrounded by Christmas decorations and looking along to Cinderella's Castle all lit up with festive lights and listening to Christmas tunes from parades of your favourite Characters in their holiday outfits? Then Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is made for you!
MVMCP is an evening party in Magic Kingdom where you receive complimentary cookies and cocoa while you watch magical festive parades, with gingerbread men, elves and of course Santa Claus!
There are many amazing holiday shows such as 'A Frozen Holiday Wish' and 'Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration', and lots of your favourite characters to meet.
The evening ends in spectacular style with with an amazing special Christmas fireworks show - Holiday Wishes : Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks, that can only be seen exclusively on party nights.
Do you need a separate ticket from your Disney ticket to enter MVMCP?
Yes you do. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separate ticketed event to your regular Disney park ticket.
The park will be open for guests as usual during the day, but Magic Kingdom will close early for those guests that are not attending the Christmas Party.
What time should you arrive?
The Christmas Party starts officially at 7pm, and finishes at midnight. However you are allowed into Magic Kingdom with your Party ticket from 4pm onwards. Of course, if you have have been in the theme park during the regular day hours, then you are able to get your band and stay in the park once it officially closes for non-party attending guests.
Guests without MVMCP tickets will not be able to stay in the park beyond 6PM.
Are the rides still open to use during MVMCP?
It wouldn't be Christmas without It's a Small World, right? The majority of rides are still open during party hours, but you are not able to book or use Fastpasses during party hours. However, the wait lines during the party are much shorted than during your average day, so they are not needed, as most rides will have relatively short queues.
Is it a family event?
You could not get more family fun than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Everyone can join in with the family festive fun!
Are costumes allowed?
Most of the party guests will make a real effort with their Christmas attire, such as matching t-shirts and Christmas themed ears etc, it is all part of the fun. Children are able to wear their costumes, but there are certain rules to adhere too when planning your costumes, so please check direct with Disney here to make sure your costume is suitable.
